Our History

CYC was born out of Passion for seeing young souls achieving the plans and purposes of God for their lives. The book of Jeremiah gave us a glimpse into the mind of God for souls of mankind on earth. Jeremiah 29: 11 says : For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. The wisest man of his time, King Solomon advised the youths to remember their Creator – Ecclesiastes 12:1. The knowledge of the Creator, the Almighty God, is extremely important for the fulfilment of destiny in GPS of God. Book of Daniel showed us how knowing God can make us strong and do exploit – Daniel 11:32. The vision of getting youths together in Christ in a club way was caught by Dr. O.J Solagbade in November 2016 in the republic of Ireland. Since then God has been helping to realize the vision. In CYC, we see Christ as the anointed one, the Prince of Peace, the Son of God, the Word of God sent to die for our offences and to rise for our justification. He is the wisdom and power of God for salvation for as many souls as would believe in Him (1Corinthians 1:24). A club is simply an association dedicated to a particular interest or activity. Christ Youth Club is an association of Christ-centred youths given to the course of quickening, reaching out and supporting young ones from 12 year old to 39 year old with mindset of seeing them prospering and having good success in 7 major areas of life – Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1-3. The Club was started with few youths of The RCCG, Triumphant House, Ireland in late 2016 / early January 2017. It was later extended to the other parishes of the RCCG, Area 15, on 1st September, 2018. A committee was constituted to oversee the affairs of the club then. The members of the Committee were Pastor (Mrs) Doyin Sanusi, Pastor (Mrs) Bridget Bakare, Pastor (Mrs) Yinka Akinlolu, Pastor(Mrs) Esther Solagbade, Brother Martins McDaniel, Pastor Kehinde Adejumo and Pastor Adedayo Ajenifujah. CYC like any other Good cause suffer its own life challenges. There were some issues that led to a pause for a while until January 2020 when it was reactivated at the advice Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) Akinlolu.
